West African country Burkina Faso confirm 3 cases H5N1 avian influenza infection.
On April 3, the government of Burkina Faso confirmed 3 cases of H5N1 avian influenza infection in a farm near the capital Ouagadougou.
The government has reported to the World Health Organization and the World Animal Health Organization about the epidemic, around three km radius of the farm established for the regional zone of separation, and has ordered all poultry farms farms.
World Animal Health Organization has warned that the region, particularly in West Africa, Burkina Faso infrastructure is very weak, the task of controlling the avian flu will be very difficult. (Reporter Zhengyunfeng)
